The Men's Freedom Pant is the non-insulated version of The North Face's heritage ski shell pant — built for resort skiers and snowboarders who layer their own warmth underneath and want the durability of a proven shell. At its core is a waterproof, breathable, seam-sealed DryVent™ 2L (two-layer) shell with a non-PFC (perfluorinated-chemical-free) durable water repellent (DWR) finish, made largely from recycled nylon and recycled polyester.
The on-mountain details are all here. Reinforced nylon kickpatches and hem guard against ski-edge abrasion, the Chimney Venting™ system with mesh-lined inner-thigh vents and gaiter panels regulates temperature under exertion, and StretchVent™ gaiters with gripper elastic seal snow out over your boots. Articulated knees preserve range of motion through carving turns, an adjustable-tab waistband with belt loops dials in the fit over layers, and a hook-and-loop thigh cargo pocket plus secure-zip hand pockets handle storage.
