The Nano Puff Vest is a Patagonia icon for good reason: dependable, warmth-for-weight insulation in a package light enough to stuff in a pack and forget until you need it. It's built around 60-gram PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Eco — made with 100% postconsumer recycled polyester and P.U.R.E.™ (Produced Using Reduced Emissions) technology — which keeps your core warm even when the weather turns damp, since PrimaLoft holds its heat when wet.
The wind-cutting shell is a 20-denier (a measure of fiber thickness) 100% recycled polyester ripstop with a durable water repellent (DWR) finish made without intentionally added PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, the "forever chemicals"), so light rain and snow bead up and roll off. The signature brick-quilt stitching keeps insulation evenly distributed, and at just 7.3 oz (207 g) the whole vest compresses down small. It's the layer that works over a base layer on a cool trail run and under a shell when a storm rolls in.
