The wind-cutting shell is a 20-denier (a measure of fiber thickness) 100% recycled polyester ripstop with a durable water repellent (DWR) finish made without intentionally added PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, the "forever chemicals"), so light rain and snow bead up and roll off. The signature brick-quilt stitching keeps insulation evenly distributed, and at just 7.3 oz (207 g) the whole vest compresses down small.
