OK for casual summer wear, not great for hiking.
This are definitely past season. The material is too light-weight for hiking, and the fit is really baggy as compared to my newer Kapris. I will try washing in hot water to see if they will shrink back to size.

Very low rise
NICE FABRIC AND DESIGN BUT THE RISE IS VERY LOW, AND FOR THAT REASON I USE FOR GOING TO THE STORES ETC. WOULD NOT BE COMFORTABLE DOING ANY REAL HIKING IN THESE. THE LEGS ARE A SLIM FIT WITHOUT BEING TIGHT, WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT IF NOT FOR THE RISE
